Sheteer prevails in a thrilling battle

MARCH 06, 2025

The fourth tight finish on the day came in race four as Al Shahania Stud’s Sheteer (Assy x Insheragh) displayed remarkable determination to land a hard-fought victory in the Purebred Arabian Handicap (75-95) for 4YO+ over 2300m. Trained by Rudy Nerbonne and ridden by Pierre Charles Boudot, the talented runner edged out Khalil Du Croate (No Risk Al Maury) in a nail-biting finish, securing the win by a short head. M'tawa El Saa'yeb (Jaafer ASF) set the early pace, with Alhafar (Al Mamun Monlau) in pursuit. Ikef De Bozouls (No Risk Al Maury) made a bold move from the outside to take third in the middle stages. As the field turned for home, several runners launched their bids, but it was Sheteer and Khalil Du Croate who emerged strongest. Locked in a relentless duel over the final 200m, Sheteer managed to push his head in front at the wire and win by a short head. Shamlowl (Al Mamun Monlau) stayed on well to finish third, two lengths behind the runner-up.
